It's time to PAR-TAY! with some burgers and fries especially in conjunction of the U.S Fries & Burger Fiesta which is on-going until the end of May 2016. With 19 different burger joints and cafes in the Klang Valley participating in this fiesta, it was definitely time for me to stop by one of the participating outlet and check out what they have to offer!
The Grind Burger Bar located at SS17 is my chosen burger joint to try TWO of their burgers and fries which is The Grind House Burger and the JD Burger. You can choose either the BEEF or PORK or even a mixture of BEEF & PORK for your patties.
The Grind House Burger (Pork RM22 | Beef RM24) which is one of the signature burger feature freshly ground, hand-pressed Aussie beef patty topped with egg, bacon, caramelized onions and natural cheddar cheese sandwiched between house-made brioche with their secret The Grind "Dracula Sauce". The beef comes from the chuck portion and is has a nice balance of both lean and fat meat. I love how the juiciness and sweetness of the meat is not overpowered by the other ingredients but was instead enhanced especially with the caramelized onions. Having an egg in the burger would have done wonders if it was still runny but unfortunately my egg for that day was well done so no runny yolk.
The other burger promoted through the U.S Fries & Burger Fiesta is the JD Burger (Pork RM23 | Beef RM25) with a choice of either BEEF or PORK patty, Jack Daniels sauce, bacon and cheddar. Do not underestimate this burger compared to The Grind House burger because the Jack Daniels sauce packs a punch on its own! Albeit too strong for my liking at the first bite, the following mouthfuls got me hooked on. A whole bottle of Jack Daniels was used in preparation of the sauce but no worries because the alcohol content has been cooked off so you still get the strong Jack Daniels taste without the alcohol content.
But of course, what is a good burger if it is not accompanied by good fries? In this case, we have U.S Potato Fries with Skin which was seriously so addictive! It had the right thickness with a crispy exterior and still fluffy inside! I am more of a thick cut fries fan so I am definitely very satisfied with the fries served at The Grind Burger Bar. They only serve the best US Potato fries so no compromising on the taste and quality.
