Timbre | The Row, KL

Timbre is no foreign name especially to those who often frequent Singapore as it is well known as a place with night entertainment, offering its customers good live music and even better drinks. For those of you who have not patronize this live music bar bistro, you no longer need to travel all the way to Singapore with Timbre @ The Row, KL. The Timbre Group is a well-established name in the Singapore F&B scene as well as a music brand synonymous with promoting homegrown music talents. You can now find them at Jalan Doraisamy to enjoy good food and drinks accompanied with live entertainment for four nights a week.
A Friday night after work turned into a sweet and pleasant dinner review at Timbre, The Row
thanks to Bok for inviting me along to try out what Timbre has to offer. Of course to my delight and surprise to meet Chris & Christine from broughtup2share as well as Ivy that night. I have been following their blogs since even before I started blogging so it was a real pleasure to get to know them in person.
The food served at Timbre definitely had a localised taste to it when we were first served with Satay Beef Fries which had crispy fries topped with stewed satay minced beef  and garnished with green onions. These fries were pretty addictive with the group of us picking at it
The Timbre Buffalo Wings (RM30) was another appetizer with a localised taste where we got deep fried battered chicken wings topped with Timbre's devil sauce and roasted peanuts. Although slightly overfried, the sauce definitely helped elevate the dish.
The Rack of Sambal Crusted Lamb Loins (RM34) had sauteed sweet peas, caramelized onions, served with coconut lemongrass emulsion and chickpeas. The sambal marinade itself was lovely although the lamb was a little too undercooked for our liking.
Enjoy two different pizza flavors with The Half & Half where we were recommended the Crispy Caramel Anchovies and the Roasted Duck; both a delight to enjoy. The Crispy Caramel Anchovies had sauteed red onions, pineapples on a sambal base, melted mozzarella cheese, topped with julienne cucumber and drizzled with aioli. The sambal and anchovies hit your tastebuds at the first bite and was sweet with a fiery kick. The other half of our pizza had roasted duck breast, sauteed shiitake mushroom with hoisin sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese and crispy popiah skin. It was definitely an interesting blend of ingredients and the roasted duck breast was enjoyable. Of course having the crispy popiah skin to pick at while dining was a plus point.
Since we were feeling a little peckish, we ordered another pizza to share which was the
Your dining experience at Timbre wouldn't be complete without watching a live performance. So chill, relax and enjoy the live band performance by local talents. Just something to take note of is you might not be able to comfortably converse with your dining partners while they are performing because the music can get a bit too loud.
