Smooth and Silky | Philips Advance Satinelle Wet and Dry Epilator

Every girl wants silky smooth skin especially for the summer holidays because that's when the bikinis come out and no one wants to look like a hairy ape. With so many different hair removal treatments and methods, most of the time we can opt to go to the waxing salon or IPL to remove those unwanted hair. But how many of us actually have the time to keep setting appointments especially those with busy schedules? Sometimes, some would opt for shaving but do you know shaving actually damages your skin?

Now thanks to Philips Satinelle Advance Wet and Dry Epilator, we girls can have silky smooth skin at the comfort of our home. This epilator from Philips is the first epilator with S-shaped handle which makes it easier to steer for maximum control and better reach with natural and precise movements, all over your body. I really like the feel of the epilator which fits nicely in the palm of my hand when using it. Not only that, it is also cordless which makes it super convenient to use it in the bathroom for up to 40 minutes. The battery can last up to 1.5 hours and just in case you forgot to charge it, not to worry because a quick 15 minutes charge is sufficient for 10 minutes usage.

The epilator head is made from a unique ceramic material with micro-ridge surface that firmly grabs the hair so even the finest hairs will be gripped nicely plus the wide head gives up to 30mm space to remove hair in a single stroke.

The whole set for RM499 comes with five different body care heads (shaving head, trimming comb, facial area cap, delicate area cap and massage cap) which allows it to be used for your whole body. The shaving head and trimming comb allows close shaves and added gentleness while the facial cap can be used to remove facial hairs. For delicate areas like the underarm and bikini area, there is the designated delicate area cap plus the massage cap which can be used to sooth and ease after effects of epilating.

My own personal review is.. OUCH! Bear in mind that epilating does come with a bit of discomfort or pain especially if you have thick hair. For those who have not done epilating or waxing before, you will face quite a significant amount of pain especially for the delicate areas. One tip is to use it in the shower when your pores are slightly open. Do not forget to apply some soothing gel like aloe vera gel after using it to sooth your skin too.
