Pablo Matcha Cheese Tart; Your Perfect Match(a) Lover

*waves* Hi my dear merry goers. First of all

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017!

I am so sorry that I have been neglecting all of you for the past week because I have been so tied up at work and rushing to get everything done before I head off to Europe. Yup! I'm finally going to have my first (and hopefully not last) Europe trip. Really blessed that I have this chance to visit my sister in Amsterdam plus this would be a nice family trip but before that I definitely have to settle all my on-going projects etc. I will definitely be sharing all about my holiday on my Instagram Stories and other social media handles so do stay tune. Putting everything aside, I have another exciting news which is Pablo Matcha Cheese Tart has finally arrived in Malaysia. I am a huge matcha fan plus cheese fan so when Pablo first opened their store in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, I was ecstatic but during their opening they were only serving the original Cheesetart. Slightly disappointed at that time but I did have my fill of their Cheesetart which was different then the other cheesetart brands in town.

From 11 January onwards, Pablo Baked Cheese Tart will be offering their Pablo Matcha Cheese Tart as well at RM49.90 (6 inch). I had the privilege of getting the first dibs of savoring their whole Matcha series which included the Matcha Cheese Frute with Shiratama and Matcha Soft Serve Ice Cream. What a way to start the new year especially when one of my resolution is to eat healthily and lose some weight. But..... food has always been my biggest temptation.

Let's start with their Matcha Cheese Frute with Shiratama (RM15.90).  I actually really liked this interesting drink combination. The first sip gives you a rich matcha blended with bits of jelly. Slightly earthy and powdery, you can really taste the essence of green tea in every sip.

This sweet drink is topped with Azuki cream and chewy Shiratama balls. The fragrance of the azuki beans were prominent in the cream and mixing it into the matcha frute made it creamy and smooth. If you are a fan of matcha just like me, I think you would really enjoy this. Another variant of this is the Special Chocolate drizzled with dark chocolate sauce; not my preferred choice but it would surely capture the Chocolate Lover's heart.

Of course the star of the day was the long awaited Pablo Matcha Cheese Tart (RM49.90). This 6 inch tart has the same flaky pastry tart dough then filled with Shiratama balls and Azuki Beans. Creamy and hits you at the first bite, the matcha flavor was strong and fragrant.

Chewing into bits of Shiratama balls and Azuki beans were delicious as it adds more depth and texture in the whole eating experience. One note would be I actually preferred this tart after it has been chilled in the fridge instead of eating it fresh from the oven. I find that the texture is smoother and not as powdery but take note that the Shiratama balls can get tough if over chilled. Although albeit on the pricey side, where else would you find a 6 inch matcha cheese tart this good?

For chocolate lovers, you can try their Freshly Baked Chocolate Cheese Tart which has bites of chocolates in them for that extra richness. Although I find it pretty sweet for my liking and I do love my chocolates dark, let me know what you think about it. :)

The last highlight would be their Matcha Cheese Soft Serve (RM11.90). I have a pretty high standard for Matcha Soft Serve and I just love Nana Green Tea's matcha soft serve which til now is still the best for me. Since Pablo is a Japanese brand, I did have some high hopes for it. It sure did not disappoint me although it was not as good as my reigning Nana Green Tea. A mixture of cheese and matcha, it is not as rich but has a creamier and smoother taste due to the cheese. If you are talking about indulgence, this sure is the soft serve you would love.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Pablo Cheese Tart in 1 Utama to try their latest star. Enjoy a FREE mini Matcha Soft serve with every purchase of the Baked Matcha Cheese Tart with Shiratama and Azuki.
