Hi merrygoers! I'm back and hopefully I'll be more active again. Without further ado, let's get on to the main topic of this article which is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Alright, tech lovers, the wait is over! Samsung just dropped the Galaxy S25 Series, and you know I had to check it out. As someone who’s been rocking the S22 Ultra and still loving it, I was super curious to see if the S25 Ultra is worth the upgrade. Let’s dive in!

First Look – Sleek, Shiny & Oh-So-Premium

Samsung switched things up with the packaging this year. Instead of the usual full-on device render, they’ve gone for a minimalist silhouette design, which feels modern and clean. The box is still made from recycled materials (yay for sustainability!), and inside, you get the essentials:

✔ The Galaxy S25 Ultra

✔ An S Pen (because Ultra = S Pen life)

✔ A USB-C cable

✔ A quick-start guide (which we all ignore, let’s be real)

Now, let’s talk colors—this lineup is serving some serious premium vibes. My personal fave? Titanium Silverblue, which has this cool gray-blue shift depending on the light. But if that’s not your thing, you’ve got Titanium Black, Titanium Whitesilver, and Titanium Gray, plus exclusive shades like Titanium Jetblack, Jadegreen, and Pinkgold (only on Samsung.com).

Design – A Fresh Take on the Ultra Look

Bigger, Bolder & Brighter Display

This beast rocks a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, meaning buttery smooth scrolling and gaming. The bezels? Shaved down even more—Samsung really wants that full-screen experience.

They’ve also thrown in Corning® Gorilla® Armor 2, which not only makes it more scratch-resistant but also reduces reflections, so outdoor viewing just got a whole lot better. If you’re like me and constantly on your phone outside, this is a game-changer!

So, Should You Get It?

If you’re coming from an S23 Ultra, the jump might not feel massive. But if you’re rocking an older model (like me with the S22 Ultra 👀), the design refinements, bigger display, and durability upgrades make this a solid upgrade.

Want to grab one? Now’s the time!

📅 From 14 Feb – 31 March 2025, Samsung is offering up to RM1,500 in savings + a 0% interest installment plan (up to 36 months) at participating banks.

Let me know—are you upgrading? Which color is calling your name?

Enhanced Features for Ultimate Convenience

Designed to provide users with peace of mind, the Galaxy SmartTag2 boasts an array of intuitive features. One standout addition is the Lost Mode, which allows users to input their contact information via a message. The device's Compass View feature enhances user experience by providing directional arrows, guiding you to your SmartTag2. This feature is available on UWB-supported Galaxy smartphones, such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra, ensuring precise tracking.

Extended Battery Life for Long-Term Use

One of the most impressive upgrades is the Power Saving Mode, doubling the SmartTag2's battery life to an astounding 700 days. Even in Normal Mode, the battery lasts up to 500 days, a 50% increase from previous models. This extended battery life ensures that you can keep an eye on your belongings for an extended period without worrying about frequent replacements.

Hey guys, it's me again, and today I'm super excited to share with you my first impression of the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, the latest mid-range smartphone from Samsung that has some awesome features and performance for its price. If you're looking for a 5G phone that won't cost you an arm and a leg, you might want to check this one out. Here's why.

What's In The Box

Before I get into the details of the phone, let me show you what's inside the box.

What you get in the box:

• Samsung Galaxy A54 5G
• USB-C to USB-C cable
• Manual and paper documentation

The box is pretty standard, with the Samsung logo and the name of the phone on the front. Inside, you'll find the phone itself, wrapped in plastic. Underneath the phone, you'll find a SIM ejector tool, a quick start guide, a warranty card, and a regional lock guide. You'll also find a USB-C cable but it doesn't come with the adapter, a case, or a screen protector, so you might want to get those separately if you want to protect your phone.

How It Looks and Feels

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is a gorgeous phone, with a glass front and back (both with Gorilla Glass 5 protection) and a plastic frame. It comes in four fun colors: Lime, Graphite, Violet, and White. I got the Graphite one and I like how it feels in my hands. The back has a neat camera layout with three lenses and a flash. You can compare the size of it versus my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The back has a neat camera layout with three lenses and a flash. The front has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a punch-hole for the selfie camera. The screen has a full HD resolution, HDR10+ support, 1000 nits of brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is amazing, it's super bright and clear, even in sunlight, and it's so smooth and responsive.

The phone is also durable, it has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, which means it can handle some splashes and spills . It also has an under-display fingerprint sensor, which works really well. The phone doesn't have a headphone jack, but it does have stereo speakers that sound pretty good.

How It Snaps and Records

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G has a great camera setup, with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera on the back. The main camera takes amazing photos in good light and low light, thanks to the advanced image sensor and night mode. The ultrawide camera lets you fit more in the frame without much distortion, and the macro camera lets you take close-up shots of small things.

Triple rear-facing cameras:

• Main: 50MP f/1.8; 23mm; PDAF; OIS
• Ultrawide: 12MP f/2.2; 13mm; fixed focus
• Macro: 5MP f/2.4; fixed focus

The phone can also record 4K videos at 30fps or 1080p videos at 30/60fps with the back cameras. The video quality is good, with smooth stabilization and autofocus. The phone also has an auto-framing feature that keeps the subject focused and centered in the frame. The selfie camera is a 32MP sensor that takes selfies with high resolution, good colors, and clear focus. It can also record 4K or 1080p videos at 30/60fps.

The phone has some cool camera features, like Photo Remaster, which can improve your photos by reducing blur and noise and increasing resolution; Object Eraser, which can remove unwanted objects from your photos; and Portrait Mode, which can blur the background for a bokeh effect.

How It Performs and Lasts

Conclusion

Hi merry goers,

Salam Mubarak to all my readers who are fasting during this Holy Month. And to the rest of us, this is the start of Ramadan bazaars, good food and more! Who else finds it a hassle when you queue for that delicious murtabak or satay and when you reach the front of the line realize you don't have enough cash to pay?

Well, as Malaysia is progressively growing to become a digital-first economy and this has empowered businesses to leverage technology to digitalise their business and offer a new experience for customers. Tech Hunter Global Sdn Bhd (“Tech Hunter”), a homegrown entity offering digital solutions for retail business creatively introduces #TechMeToBazaar, a Ramadan Bazaar in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (“TTDI”), where visitors can make payments from a variety of digital modes, including debit or credit cards and e-wallets.

Stall owners and vendors at the TTDI Ramadan Bazaar are fully equipped with payment terminals, set up by PayHunter, a Tech Hunter subsidiary, so visitors can conveniently use their cards to ‘wave’ for payment or scan the QR codes available at each stall to transact. Visitors no longer have to worry if they cannot withdraw cash to pay for their buka puasa meals. The bazaar is open from 3 pm onwards, beginning from 23 March until 21 April and aims to attract 200,000 visitors this year.

Yang Berbahagia Datuk Haji Azmi Bin Abdul Hamid, Executive Director of Socioeconomic Development, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said,

“I am both delighted and proud to see our business owners on the path to upskill themselves. They are learning and tapping into the mindset of their customers, who want convenient and seamless transactions across every aspect of their lives, including making the smallest purchase at the Ramadan Bazaar. This is a step in the right direction in empowering more MSMEs and SMEs to adopt digital solutions as Malaysia embraces a digital lifestyle.”

Jenson Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Tech Hunter said,

"We have seen the boom of e-wallets in recent years that exponentially increase Malaysians’ interest in conducting cashless transactions. This year, we are upping the ante, by giving a glimpse into the lifestyles of the future. With Ramadan Bazaars being a Malaysian staple, we know that there is no time better than now for us to encourage Malaysians to live life digitally.”

Visitors at the bazaar will be spoilt for choice with over 150 stalls offering local delicacies. Together with Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), SHOPLINE, GrabPay Malaysia and YTL Communications as sponsors, visitors of #TechMeToBazaar can also enjoy exciting promotions, including:

• Visitors who use their BSN credit or debit card to make an accumulated spend of RM50 with a maximum combination of three (3) receipts, will stand a chance to win a one-time RM5 cashback during the campaign period from 23 March until 21 April 2023. A total of 4,000 winners will be selected randomly.
• Visitors can also enjoy RM30 off, with a minimum purchase of RM200 using Grab’s PayLater function in the Grab app. Visitors will need to scan the GrabPay QR code at the stalls, key in the payment amount and “Pay Next Month” or “Pay in 4 Instalments” to enjoy the discount.

*Terms and conditions apply across all promotional activities listed above.

Tuan Hj Gulam Muszaffar Bin Mustakim, President, Kuala Lumpur Pasar Malam Management Association (PMKL) said,

“The Ramadan bazaars are part of our culture, a phenomenon that helps set the scene in celebration of the holy month. While our traders are keeping the bazaar tradition alive, they are also aware of the growing need to innovate and offer digital payment options for their customers. We are excited to be working with Tech Hunter Global and our partners, to put the right technologies in place which not only enhances their operational efficiency, but enables them to respond to the digital demand of Malaysians.”

Jay Khairil, Chief Executive of BSN said,

“The programme reflects BSN's dedication to enhancing productivity and business growth among micro, small, and medium enterprises, ensuring they reap the maximum benefits. BSN provided 150 traders of the #TechMeToBazaar with a POS terminal to enable seamless transactions while improving visitors' overall experience at the TTDI Ramadan Bazaar.”

SHOPLINE is a global Smart Commerce Enabler, offering omnichannel commerce solutions to help retailers to succeed anywhere and everywhere. Adding to its comprehensive range of tech offerings which include eCommerce and Live Commerce solutions, SHOPLINE has recently integrated its POS system with Tech Hunter’s Smart Mobile Payment Terminal. “We believe that shopping should be an easy and convenient experience,” said Bevan Tan, Country Manager at SHOPLINE Malaysia. “SHOPLINE’s Smart Mobile Payment Terminal is designed with Malaysians in mind, and we are proud to launch it at TTDI Ramadan Bazaar to make shopping this Ramadan an enjoyable experience for both vendors and customers.”

Lastly, YTL Communications’ Yes is the telecommunications provider that powers the 5G connectivity throughout the entire bazaar.
