Tuna French Toast Roll Recipe | TC Boy

Hey merrygoers! It's time for another #MiriamCooks post and this time it is a super simple recipe best for breakfast and picnics.

The sister was actually back for a one week mid-semester break which means more cooking for me! Love it when she is back because this means I get to cook. I love making yummy dishes in the kitchen but without the monkey sister around, it sure isn't easy because there won't be anyone to devour my dishes.

One thing about the sister is, when she is hungry you got to prepare food pronto which is why most of my dishes are super easy to make. Today I am going to share with you a simple recipe for Tuna French Toast Roll. Normal tuna sandwiches are boring but what if we combine a sandwich and french toast together?

I actually got a pack of TC Boy canned tuna of different varieties so I decided to use the Mayonnaise Tuna and the Chili Tuna for this recipe.

 All you need are:

TC Boy Canned Tuna (of your choice)
Bread
Egg
Salt
Pepper

The ingredients sure seem pretty simple don't they! The steps to make them are as simple as the ingredients too.

Step 1

Roll and flatten your bread pieces. Here I am using wholemeal bread but you can use any bread of your choice. Take a rolling pin and just flatten them into thin pieces. If you don't have a rolling pin, just use a cup!

Step 2

Next, spread some canned tuna onto the bread. Do not spread it over generously because it might spill out and you will get a huge mess. Lightly pinch the corners of the rolled bread to keep the stuffing in.

Step 3

Dunk your tuna roll into the egg mixure (beaten egg + salt + pepper) and let it sit in it for at least 30 seconds. This will ensure the bread soaks up all the eggy goodness.

Step 4

You can choose to deep fry or pan fry the eggy tuna roll. For me, I opt to use my air fryer because it is so much more convenient and using less oil is definitely healthier. Just add brush some oil onto your tuna roll and place them into the air fryer at 200°C for roughly 10 minutes. For those who are frying it, just fry it until it is golden brown

Now it is done! As simple as that. You can choose to add some mustard or tomato sauce on your tuna roll. Also, you can also opt to add cheese into your tuna roll which would make it soooo good! You can pack it for picnics or even have it for a nice breakfast in the morning.

That's all for my simple recipe. Do give it a try and let me know what would you add to your tuna roll.

Til next time,

xoxo
Miriam
