Olla my dear merry goers! I was going through the photos in my computer and realised that I actually forgot to blog and share about this really cute cafe I tried together with a good friend, Eden when she visited from Penang. I actually saw the cute photos of the desserts and coffee served in Flavourest Cafe and decided to bring her here after her job interview.
Located at Zenith Corporate Business Park, Kelana Jaya this quaint cafe is located just behind Paradigm Mall. Nestled among office buildings, you will spot this cafe at the ground floor of Block D. This is a bear-themed cafe so be ready to awed by the cuteness you see inside.
Mind you, these are some really old photos and from their recent photos I can see that they have added more wall stickers and other decor making the place even more loveable. As we went there on a weekday, there weren't many customers and we could enjoy taking photos as much as we want. After selecting several desserts from their selection of cakes and ordering our drinks, we started playing around and taking photos of that cute huge teddy bear which was larger than the both of us.
This huge teddy was actually at the display area and we couldn't resist taking him around the cafe for some photos. Sorry Mr Teddy for all that hugging and photo taking but thank goodness for him, our cakes started arriving so let's see what did we order on that day!
Firstly, we tried their Red Velvet which was recommended by the barista and she mentioned that they did not use artificial colouring in their Red Velvet and used natural colouring which I am assuming is from Beetroot. Price-wise the cakes sold were really pretty reasonable at RM 6.90 per slice during my visit. The cake was moist and creamy from the cream cheese frosting and I liked that it wasn't too sweet too. Plus aren't those some really pretty cream cheese rosette swirls on top of that cake?
We also ordered another cake just because it is so pretty! Gosh honestly wouldn't you order this as well if you saw it? If my memory doesn't fail me, this is a yogurt cheesecake with a chocolate rice puff base and topped with some strawberry jam and a huge strawberry on top! This dainty dessert was light and airy with the sweetness from the strawberry puree on the top. One downside was I felt the chocolate rice puff wasn't as crispy as I would like it or like how we Malaysians say "masuk angin". However, this dessert sure is Instaworthy!
Of course one of the main points why I decided to come to this cafe was for their 3D coffee art! Ah can you see that super cute and adorable teddy just asking for a hug! The barista was really friendly when we told her we wanted 3D design and showed her what we wanted. We sure were very super satisfied when this was served on our table.
I don't even remember what coffee we ordered but the coffee was really good although we had a hard time killing this cute teddy! This 3D coffee art sure deserves more photos!
We actually ordered one more drink and we didn't even know how to touch our desserts which all looked so pretty! While waiting for our last order, we took like a thousand photos with our orders and from the photos you can definitely see this is not a recent photo. Looking back at my photos I don't know whether to cry or laugh! Need to shrink my chubby cheeks down now.
Finally our last order arrived which was the Rainbow Hot Chocolate and seriously how much more can this cafe be amazing! Look at this Hot Chocolate with the heart marshmallow on top! So pretty. Seriously when it comes to pretty desserts, we couldn't care less about the taste than how it looks like but the taste sure didn't disappoint us because the hot chocolate was creamy too.
I sure miss my tea session with Eden now that she's back in Penang and I am so glad I managed to bring her cafe hopping with me while she was in town! Flavourest Cafe sure is one cute cafe that you have to check out. Even after so many months I still cannot forget the ambiance and adorable desserts I had there.
