Here's a food review about Bonjour Garden Cafe at Kota Damansara. Went there to have an early birthday celebration for my mum and I saw this cafe was really beautiful with garden features. So on that day my sis came back from PD and we surprised Mum at her office and off we go for dinner :)

The food was really delicious and large portioned! Really value for money and the ambiance at the area was seriously very nice! Very cooling area and well.. let me show you the photographs of that day!

quote from the waiter *can i interest you with the newspaper of the day* >.<

Getting back to my travel post on my trip to Kuching. Now for Day 3, we hired a chartered van to bring us around for the whole day. One van is RM250 regardless of how many people ride the van. Well, the more the merrier right? :) For Day 3, we visited Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, Uncle Jong's Crocodile Farm, Friendship Park, Cat Museum :)

So the first place we visited was the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to see... *drum rolls* Orangutans!! This is a nature reserve where the orangutans are not caged up but they actually live in the area and during feeding times, the park rangers will bring out fruits and leave it on the feeding platform and we just have to patiently wait for the orangutans to come out and eat. If you're lucky, you will be able to see most of them but I've heard that during the fruit season, it is quite difficult to see them because of the abundance of fruits in the jungle that they will not come out to eat.

Entry tickets cost RM 5.00 per person and here are some pictures of the area :)

Hey peeps! Sorry for the holiday post delays but I got some news!

Firstly, thanks to Hui Ting for presenting me the Liebster Award, an award presented by one blogger to another :) Let me give a brief introduction to what a  Liebster Award is about.

A Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. So, what is a Liebster?  The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. Isn't that sweet? Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.

So here is how the award goes:

Continuing on to my next holiday post still at Kuching :)

For the second day we went on a little exploring trip that literally made our feet sore and tired. We walked and walked the whole day and by the time we reached our hotel we were super exhausted. I think we finished walking and touring all the museums at the town center and also knew our way around quite well. We had dinner at the famous TopSpot Seafood Food Court which was reasonably priced and tasty as well. We also went on a taxi river cruise ride which is RM 20 per person and the boat takes you up the river. You can opt to take the last boat so that you can catch the sunset. However if you are staying at the Tune Hotel please remember to check if there are any promotions for guest. Because... we opt to take the taxi ride as we the original River Cruise was a little too heavy on our budget, RM 60 per person but you get to sit on a mini cruise ship with on board entertainment and refreshment. We totally missed the promotion and totally *face palm* ourselves! If we had known about the promotion we could have rode on the cruise for just an additional RM10!! Anyways there is always a silver lining as we managed to secure ourselves a chartered van to take us sight-seeing the next day. So here are some photos of Day 2 :)

This huge tree is a cotton tree which is super big and has huge thorns!

Finally had a trip to Kuching, Sarawak and a super long one too! 6 days 5 nights :) Thanks to Sze Hui and her dad for bringing us around and also treating us to tasty local delicacies! So let me introduce Kuching :)

Took the Air Asia flight to Kuching which we booked a year back when there was promotion. Also booked Tune Hotel as our accommodation as it was super cheap that time. Just RM 111 per room for 6 days 5 nights! We booked 2 rooms for the five of us so each of us just had to fork out RM 50 per person. Cheap right? :)

So the girls on this trip are me, Won Ping, Su May, Mei Mei and Ee Ven. Su May flew in from Penang while the rest of us board the plane from LCCT, KL. Here are some pictures of us on the plane :)

Day One Arrival

Beautiful view from the plane above the Peninsular
Once we touchdown at Kuching International Airport, we bought the coupon for the taxi to Tune Hotel which is RM 26 for the four of us. Since we were unable to check into the hotel yet as the check in time was 2 pm and we reached very early around 11 am so we left our luggage at the hotel for Rm 2 per luggage and proceeded to walk around the area.

After exploring Hills Mall which is just behind the hotel, we received a phone call from Sze Hui who was waiting with Su May at the nearby Chinese History Museum which is just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The Chinese History Museum is located in front of Waterfront Kuching where there are a variety of souvenir shops along the Waterfront.

The Chinese History Museum is very interesting as it depicts the origins of the Chinese community that travel on a ship from China before reaching Sarawak. There is a theater room which has a short clip in Chinese and English that shows the progress of the Chinese community when they settle down at Sarawak. There are also information about the different dialects of the Chinese community, the traditional Chinese instruments, Chinese festivals, education and many more. There are also information on the Chinese political figures Sarawak. If you want to take photos please remember to ask the permission of the person-in-charge. Here are some photos from the museum.
Today is the day where my dear turns 23! So what else but a day out! We went to Sunway Pyramid for movie lunch and dinner.

Movie selection? White House Down! It was a selection between Monster University and White House Down but after friends suggestions, White House Down wins! Those who haven't watched it please do go to your nearest cinema and watch it.

White House Down is a 2013 American action-thriller-drama film directed by Roland Emmerich about an assault on the White House by a paramilitary group. The film's screenplay is by James Vanderbilt, and it stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. The film was released on June 28, 2013.

It is a super great movie and there are some hilarious parts. Love Jamie Fox as the President. He is really funny. And Channing Tatum is just great as the main character. Family senario a little cold but the final part where the daughter played by Joey King did her flag twirling, it was really moving! Really don't want to spoil the movie for you all so please just go watch it!
Finally meeting up with friends back home and what do we do? Make Kimchi!

Kimchi (Korean: 김치 Korean pronunciation: [kimtɕʰi]; English pronunciation: /ˈkɪmtʃi/), also spelled kimchee or gimchi, is a traditional fermented Korean side dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings. In traditional preparation Kimchi was often allowed to ferment underground in jars for months at a time. It is Korea's national dish, and there are hundreds of varieties made with a main vegetable ingredient such as napa cabbage, radish, scallion, or cucumber. Kimchi is also a main ingredient for many Korean dishes such as kimchi stew (김치찌개; kimchi jjigae), kimchi pancake (김치부침게; kimchijeon), kimchi soup (김칫국; kimchiguk), and kimchi fried rice (김치볶음밥; kimchi bokkeumbap).

The kimchi we decided to make that day was Cabbage Kimchi.
So here are some pictures of the whole process..

Soaking cabbage in salt water

Soaking carrots and radish in cold water
After four years of studying, my dear seniors are finally graduating. Knowing them for three years has made me grown so much. Not forgetting those who has left earlier like William and Cheryl. Really do miss their presence.

Here's a toast to them.

To Veronica,
Come to think of it, I've been in the same school with her since primary school but our paths never crossed. Always a year ahead of me, after primary school to secondary school and even to Form Six. Never did I thought that I would bump into her again at Kelantan, a state so far away from home. However, knowing that she was there kind of gave me a sense of assurance and home. During the first year we started knowing each other and at times reminiscing Assunta school days. Always jovial and fun to be with, she is someone that you can feel free to approach her if you have any problems. She always has a wise word to say. I've learnt a lot from her even if she does not realize it. She is confident, brave and has a rational thinking that makes me even more confident in uni. Not only that, her love for God is prominent and she always has her heart for God that helped me to grow even more. Will really miss her presence after she graduate and hope that we will be able to keep in touch always.

Next to Hui Ting,
My senior of the same course. I think I first added her in Facebook being so afraid to go to Kelantan. And after I reached there and we recognize each other we just clicked. Always giving me advice about my programmes and my subjects and most importantly my lecturers. Notes? Not to worry because I know I can go to her and ask her for help. She is sometimes quiet but you can see that she is very thoughtful and when you need help or opinion she is really the best person to go to. Her thinking is very matured and she always thinks for others. Like Veronica, I will really miss her being there. Wish her all the best in her future and have a great journey with her life partner

Not forgetting Cang Ling,
The guy I met during orientation week, guiding us lost juniors to church and arranging transport to church every week. Any doubts or questions about God? He's the man to look for. Always speaks his mind although at times insensitively, but we just humor him because we know what he says is from his heart and with concern for all. Although blunt at times, he is a really caring guy with great knowledge in his mind. One can see how much God is guiding him in his life. Hope he can find his life partner soon and have a great life ahead

Lastly Colin,
He is like a big teddy bear that really grows onto you. Sometimes, you just don't get what he says but if you listen properly, the stuff he says are really useful. Helpful always and I know I can count on him if I need it. Skeptical at times but sometimes he is really just amusing. I wish him all the best in his life journey and Colin! Do take care of your diet and lifestyle! Stay healthy and strong!

To commemorate their graduation, we can a small farewell lunch with them. Here are some pictures to remember that day.

Cheese Macaroni

Black pepper chicken chop rice
We had a surprise birthday celebration for Yang at Maraschino, Rantau Panjang. It was his first birthday celebration and though a little early it was a great one with friends all around. We ordered a cake from the cafe and it was delicious. The price was totally worth it as well as the ingredients used were of good quality. The cake could even win over Secret Recipe's Chocolate  Indulgence. Overall, thanks to all those who came and made the day a great and memorable day. Here are some pictures to remind us of that day.

Today I would like to introduce a yogurt shop that is similar to Tutti Fruiti and the rest but has great atmosphere and ambiance. Discovered this shop during a field trip to Perlis. It is located at Arau Perlis near to the shopping complex. The deco of the shop is really nice and they provide tablets for customers to relax and enjoy :) Here are some pictures to give a clearer description of the place
