Let's have another round of #MiriamEats my dear merry goers! Soft serve ice cream has been a total hit nowadays with so many different variety and cafes popping up with the claims of serving the best soft serve in town. Not failing to be one of the best is P.S. Tokyo, located in the middle of SS2, Petaling Jaya.
Honestly speaking, I have not been having a great month with some disappointing news but thank God for the long weekend holiday due to the Deepavali and Sultan of Kelantan's birthday which allowed me to have a one week break back in KL. This time round, I didn't meet up with many friends but just spent a nice relaxing week off with my sister who was back for her mid-semester break as well. After a long overdue manicure session at beeQnails where I always get my nails done, we decided to treat ourselves to some smooth creamy soft serve at PS Tokyo.
P.S. Tokyo is actually opened by one of my blogger friends Patricia a.k.a Tenchi and I was so disappointed that I had to miss her grand opening so I made sure I would stop by when I came back to KL. Located at the second floor, opposite Kare Cafe the warm ambiance welcomed me and my sis from the cold wet weather outside.
You will be greeted with a huge wall full of polaroid photos as well because at P.S. Tokyo, when you take any photos and upload it on your Instagram with the hastag #pstokyo, you'll be able to actually print your photos and hang one copy on the wall plus keeping one for yourself! I had fun tracing some familiar faces on the wall!
You can choose to sit by the long bartop table with high stools or the lower tables. It is certainly very spacious at P.S. Tokyo and I do think they can fit in more tables to accommodate extra customers in the future but you will be sure you won't be cramped up when dining here.
So you order your soft serve or other cakes from the counter, pay your bill, grab a seat and wait for it to be served to you. There are several choices of soft serve and desserts you can choose from:
Soft Serve
RM 9.90 | RM 6.90 (mini)
Matcha
Hojicha
Milk
*Topping RM 3.00 each
*Macaron RM 4.50 each
Sweet Selection
Tofu Cheese Cake [Original] RM12.90 | [Sesame] RM12.90
Matcha Milk Chocolate
Cake |RM13.90
Cotton Cheese Cake | RM11.90
Now if you want the best view or photo, take the seat by the window! The natural lighting is just awesome for any photo taking and boy both me and the sister took loads of shots even though we were only there for 30 minutes! Had to rush off to fetch my mum from work and we were so reluctant to leave.
[WARNING] I'm going to spam this post with tons of photos because I just love each and every shot I took that day!
Between me and my sister to share, we ordered the Match Soft Serve and the Mini Hojicha Soft Serve plus an original Tofu Cheesecake and I am telling you the only think I regret was that I should have taken the normal sized Hojicha Soft Serve as well because it was sooo good!
Both the soft serves were really creamy and I liked how I can actually taste the matcha and hojicha in each of them unlike some places which serves me diluted matcha ice cream. For me, if you are telling me that it has matcha in it, you better let me be able to actually taste matcha and I mean good quality matcha! It is not too strong like from Nana Green Tea and boy I'm telling you Nana Green Tea has the strongest flavour matcha ice cream ever! For those who aren't really too much of a fan of matcha, the dose of matcha in P.S. Tokyo's Matcha Soft Serve will be just up your alley. The Hojicha soft serve has an unique flavor and aroma to it and it is honestly very good.
Of course even though we were rushing off, we just had to order the Tofu Cheesecake which you will not regret! It is soft and creamy just like an actual cheesecake but here's a great point for those who are watching their diets! It has so much less calories compared to a normal cheesecake. You get the best of both worlds: a delicious dessert without the guilt! A sweet ginger syrup is poured over the cheesecake reminding me of taufufah but surprisingly pairing well with the tofu cheesecake. I love how the base was compact and not overly crumbly! Just describing it now makes me crave for it so much more.
Like I said before, best place ever for photoshooting!! The light by the window is just amazing and I can to do minimal adjustments for exposure and contrast for the photos taken. The visit to P.S. Tokyo was a real delight and brought a smile to my face! I will definitely go back there just for some quiet time, enjoy some delicious soft serve and to try out more of their creations!
Remember to follow them on Instagram and their Facebook page because they have tons of offers and promotions! Have a great day lovelies.
