Hi merry goers!
I am back with another cafe review and honestly this post has been sitting in my draft corner for so long that it due time I published it. Bookmark Coffee located at Taman Connaught, Cheras was a cafe I thought seemed interesting when I was searching online for a cafe in Cheras to bring the sister along. They seemed really popular with their selections of coffee art and since both of us had time to spare before she goes back to Penang for another semester, we decided to stop by and have a nice lunch before heading to the airport.
Parking was rather difficult but thank God we actually manage to locate a legit parking space and did not require to park illegally by the roadside. They had previously moved several lots down from their older location but you would be able to see it just a few lots next to Starbucks. My suggestion for parking is either you park at the ICON parking or double park and leave your number on the dashboard if you are not planning to stay long.
Bookmark Coffee is a really cozy coffee place and they have quite an extensive menu of both main meals and desserts. We definitely had to order a cup of coffee because I love their coffee art so I ordered a French Rose Latte. The sister ordered their Set Lunch Menu which comes with a free drink so she was satisfied with that.
I ordered their Cornflake Toast with Bacon which seemed to be rather popular online and I did not really have much of an appetite that day. It comes with two sticks of toast, bacon and you can drizzle some honey over it. Overall, it was an interesting breakfast choice but the portion was rather small. However, I did enjoy the crunchiness from the cornflake which paired well with the fluffy toast plus it was not greasy which was a plus point.
Meanwhile, the sister ordered the Crispy Cereal Fish Fillet which comes with an Iced Lemon Tea. The set comes with two generous pieces of fish fillet, some fries and a side of salad. Flaky and well done, this was enjoyable overall.
But I must say, I definitely understand why Bookmark Coffee is popular among its patrons for their coffee art because they are really very good. I randomly chose a photo online for them to draw and although there were tons of images in my mind, somehow I decided on My Melody. I LOVED how pretty the coffee art was and took tons of photos of it. Literally took tons of photos!
Wouldn't you agree that they coffee art is really so pretty! Ah still feeling very satisfied with it. The coffee itself I would not say to be very memorable although it had a aromatic fragrance of French Rose. My sister did not quite enjoy the coffee most probably because of the french rose but I found it rather smooth although it can be an acquired taste.
Would I revisit Bookmark Coffee? Yes I would definitely come back with friends to try out their other dishes and also definitely get more coffee dates!
