MySejahtera Verified Blue Tick: What You Need To Know

Hi merry goers,

Are you verified? If you haven't heard the news, MySejahtera has received an update that displays a blue “verified” badge on the check-in screen. We are required to verify their identification details and birthdate on the app to receive a Verified checkmark. It explained that having a verified account meant that users can fully access all the features on the app. For example, it said that users may not be able to view their vaccination cert if they have not verified their account.

In order to access the new verification feature, you will first need to update the app to the latest 1.1.8 version which is available for both Android and Apple devices.

To get a verified MySejahtera profile, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your MySejahtera app is updated to version 1.1.8 or newer.
  2. Click on the red 'Verify Now' button at the Check-In screen which brings you to the Verification page.
  3. Check if these details are accurate (because once you verify, you can't change the information): — Name (according to your MyKad or passport, which includes Bin/Binti and A/P or A/L) — IC/Passport number (according to your MyKad or passport, too) — MySJ ID (email address or phone number you used to register the MySejahtera account with)
  4. If you need to make any changes, click on 'Edit'.
  5. Click 'Confirm' to finalize and send your details to the MySejahtera team. Your red badge should turn into a blue tick saying 'Verified' on the Check-In page of the app, once your details are verified.

This new feature may seem unnecessary at first, but this is important for those who are planning to travel overseas. Incoming international travelers to Malaysia are also required to use MySejahtera and they will be issued a Traveller’s card before they depart for their flight to the country.
