Silver Spoon @ Publika

After starting my internship around Mont Kiara area, I was finally able to try out eateries at Publika that so many people have raved about. At first, me and my colleagues were headed to Namoo at The Park but we couldn't find it so we headed to Silver Spoon which had affordable lunch set menus!

Firstly the ambiance at the restaurant was seriously very comforting and suitable for dining with friends and family. Once we entered the premise, we were served immediately by the server there and he recommended the lunch set menu.

The set menu consists of a choice of appetizer and a choice of a main course. I forgot to take a photo of the menu so here is what I remember in my memory.

Mushroom soup/ Soup-of-the-day/ House Salad

Main Course
Nasi Goreng/ Aglio Olio Spaghetti/ Spaghetti Arrabiata

I chose the Chicken Spaghetti Arrabiata and Soup of the day (Pumpkin Soup) while my colleagues chose the Grilled Chicken Breast with Black Pepper Sauce and Mushroom Soup.

The soup was served after around 5 minutes of wait time and it was served pipping hot. The main server was really very attentive to us and asked us if we wanted freshly grounded black pepper. Firstly, the soup of the day which was served was Pumpkin Soup and it was seriously so creamy and delicious! The ratio of cream and pumpkin was very balanced and it was not too salty. The thickness of the soup was also just nice :)
The portion served was really quite large and after finishing my soup, I was already quite full.

Meanwhile, the mushroom soup that my colleagues ordered was also very delicious! There were chunky bits of mushroom in the soup and it was very creamy! Both soup was amazing.

After we are done with our soup, we practically licked the plate clean! The server asked us whether we were ready for our mains before they brought it to our table! I really love their service at Silver Spoon which is so professional unlike some places where they don't follow the order of the meal.

My Spaghetti Arrabiata came first and it was seriously so appetizing! The smell waffled to my nose and I couldn't wait to dig it! It was prepared so freshly and piping hot until the end of my meal *thumbs up*
The portion served was really huge and after that delicious pumpkin soup I was really in a good mood and had expectations for the main course! I L.O.V.E their spaghetti! It was so delicious! The tomato sauce that they cooked with was prepared freshly and not those cooked from cans and tins. You can literally see chunks of tomato in the dish and for those who dislike tomato-based sauce spaghetti because of the sourness of the sauce, don't worry! The acidity level in this dish is really balanced and not too sour.

The Black Pepper Grilled Chicken Breast ordered by my colleagues was a real huge portion! They were grilled to perfection and served with thick-cut fries and served with salad. The salad was served with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Again I need to emphasize that Silver Spoon really know how to balance the flavours in their dish! The whole dish was so flavourful and the chicken breast that is normally dry was grilled to perfection. The chicken breast meat was still moist and the black pepper sauce complemented it very well.

Overall it was a great experience dining at Silver Spoon and they have many set menus for special occasions! A great place for couples to have a nice meal together too! So those who are at Publika and don't know what to eat, head on to Silver Spoon and try out their food!
