[BEAUTY]: In2It BB Cream and Loose Powder

Hello my pretties! I'm back with another beauty product post :)

BB Cream is not something unfamiliar for every makeup fanatic but for those who are still new at using makeup let me briefly introduce BB Cream.

From Wikipedia
[BB cream stands for blemish balmblemish basebeblesh balm (apparently because of a trademark in Korea on the word "blemish"), and in Western markets, beauty balm. It is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East and Southeast Asia, although the majority of larger beauty brands have introduced BB creams to Western markets.
BB cream is promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation and sunblock. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage.]

To those who are still new to makeup and beauty products, it may be really confusing to choose the right BB cream to use especially if you are on a tight budget. Today I will be introducing a BB Cream from In2It

I was actually shopping at Watsons and saw this In2It BB Cream which has a free gift which is the BB Brightening Loose Powder. Have been looking for a good loose powder especially since my face tend to get quite shiny after several hours and loose powder is definitely necessary to keep that shine off my face. This duo combo is seriously affordable to those who are just starting to purchase makeup products which is at just RM 18.90.

BB Cream and Loose Powder combo

So here's my review for the BB Cream.

The BB Cream promotes 5 in 1 properties which are as a:

  • Foundation
  • Makeup base
  • Concealer
  • Sun protection with SPF 30 PA+++
  • Moisturiser

There are two tones for this BB Cream and I chose the 01 Ivory tone. One thing I didn't like was that there were no testers so I had a hard time choosing the right tone. The other tone is 02 Sienna which is slightly darker but from the colour of the package there wasn't much difference.

The BB Cream comes in a small nozzle instead of a pump which at times it is quite difficult to control the amount of product

Now let's move on to the Loose Powder which is 8g and really small and compact. The loose powder also comes with a super cute puff for you to apply. The loose powder from In2It promotes:

  • Sheer & Light - A sheer, smooth cooling powder with a translucent finish and shimmer for facial brightening
  • Oil Control - Contains silica for oil control
  • With Moisturising & Bio Bright complex - Contains moisturisers aqua, vitamin E, and Bio Bright complex

The loose powder also has a protective cover to prevent the powder from flying all around the place. I made the mistake of removing the cover and I had loose powder all over me. I chose to actually puncture some holes on the cover and tilt some powder out from the holes when I want to use it.

So now do you want to see how well this product works? Let's get on to the review:

So firstly, I squeezed some of the cream onto my hand and rubbed it in. From the before and after photo I'm sure you can see the difference where the area that I applied the cream is slightly lighter compared to my original skin colour. My skin also appears smoother and whiter. This is before I applied the loose powder.

Before and after applying BB Cream

Now after I applied the loose powder, as mentioned on the product there were shimmering glitter powder in the loose powder which made my skin glow like Edward Cullen's skin from Twilight! So you have to bear in mind to sweep off some of the excess powder using a fan brush if you find it too shiny.

Before and After applying loose powder

Product wise, I would say that the coverage for the BB Cream is quite good as I can also use it as a concealer on top of my usual CC Cream *Will do a review on my CC Cream in a later post*
The BB Cream texture is slightly thick which is good for concealing but it does not turn your face cakey like using foundation. It still gives you that natural make-up less look if you are aiming for a natural makeup look. I also liked that it has SPF30 which I can use it on top of my usual sunblock.

Meanwhile for the loose powder, I quite like it that it helped control the shine on my face for several hours but I would prefer to have less of the shiny powder which makes my face glitters but it would be great for a night dinner look.

Overall rating for both BB Cream and Loose Powder I would give a 4/5 for an affordable, budget-wise makeup base product for beginners.
