Unique and Yummy Pineapple Tarts with SCS Butter

Hey merry goers! How is everyone doing?
Today I have some yummy treats to share with all of you.

Chinese New Year is coming soon and although it is still a month away we can already start hearing CNY songs playing in malls. Anytime soon we will be able to see CNY decorations up!

To usher in the Year of the Goat, SCS Butter has taken on the ambitious task of upgrading one of our favourite CNY cookies which is the Pineapple Tarts! Every CNY we will definitely have pineapple tarts to usher in the new year and there many different varieties of pineapple tart recipes in the market.  One of the important ingredients to get that fragrant and golden pineapple tart is definitely the butter you use.

Using quality butter like SCS Butter will give you that buttery,  fluffy and crusty pineapple tarts. This new year, SCS has taken a further step in introducing eight new recipes complemented with a variety of flavours!

The eight new flavours are:

Pineapple Cream Cheese

The luscious concoction of cream cheese and pineapple jam whipped up to perfection. The creamy consistency was well balanced with the buttery pastry which melts in your mouth.

Pecan Pineapple

Just imagine crunchy nutty pecans plus the tangy pineapple jam. This added nutty goodness really added additional texture and crunch in every bite! The pastry was crumbly and really fine too.

Berrylicious Pineapple

This berrylicious pineapple tarts are a combination of cranberries and pineapple jam which gave it a slightly sour taste which would really open your appetite. However, this was slightly a bit too sour for my taste even though I love sour food.

Chocolate Brownie Pineapple

These sinful chocolate treats really bring out the dark desires in you. This is definitely a chocolate lover's guilty pleasure with rich decadent cocoa powder blended with pineapple jam. This chocolate pineapple tart may take some time getting used to as it is not the usual pineapple tart you enjoy every Chinese New Year. There is a slight bitter taste from the cocoa powder which some may not enjoy but you can use sweeter chocolate to make this pastry.

Caramel Pineapple

Now everyone knows how well caramel and pineapple blend together. You can go nuts for caramel with this delicious concoction. Three times the zest in this triple-flavoured recipe of hazelnut, caramel and pineapple mix, this pineapple tart is surely a crowd pleaser.

Creamy Mango and
Pineapple White Chocolate

Hearts for anyone? This Lady in White spells love with the sweet fusion of pineapple, whit chocolate drizzles and hints of mango. The sweet and tangy mix of pineapple and mango really goes well together plus the buttery pastry that makes a great base.

Oatmeal Pineapple

'Oat' My Gosh! This oatmeal pineapple tart is definitely the favourite of the elderly. This wholesome recipe is filled with oat and pineapple to satisfy any cookie craving. The oat is well baked and has a fragrant aroma at the first bite.

Green Tea Pineapple

Finally, we can't miss out this 'Tealicious' pineapple tart. The zen taste of green tea marries well with the pineapple with a smooth and uplifting flavour from the green tea. And don't you think the colour of the pastry is just so pretty?

The team from SCS has been very generous in sending me some of their pineapple tarts for me to enjoy rhos new year and I must say that I love them! They were very nice in delivering the pineapple tarts to me and thank you to Christina for delivering it to me.

The tarts were packaged in a pretty cardboard box with a latch and once I opened the box I couldn't stop but swoon in awe at all the pretty pineapple tarts! I could not wait to taste each and every one of the tarts. My eyes were particularly drawn to the Chocolate Brownie Pineapple  and the Green Tea Pineapple. If you know me well, you know that I love all things green tea so it was the first one I tried! The green tea aroma was not that strong but there was a slight green tea aftertaste which I quite. liked. The pineapple jam used in the cookies were not too sweet which really balanced well with the taste of the pastry.

I personally love the Pineapple Cream Cheese tart which was creamy and so fragrant!  The balance of the cheese really complimented the pineapple filling and it was not too sweet. Besides that the Oatmeal Pineapple tart was amazing as well. My mum particularly enjoyed this variety as it was crunchy on the outside and the oatmeal was roasted really well. The fragrance of the buttery tart really hits your nostrils at the first bite and it was really buttery.

It was very cute how they tried making the Caramel Pineapple into a shape of the pineapple as well. So much details were put into baking these cookies. Did you notice how pretty the Creamy Mango and Pineapple White Chocolate was? They made it into heart shaped cookies *swoon*

After tasting all the delicious pineapple tarts, I can see how SCS has remained to be Singapore top-selling butter brand because the butter quality is really good. Did you know that SCS Butter is made from 100% Australian Grass-Fed Cow's Milk and is an all natural butter with NO Artificial Colouring, Addidional Preservatives and Hormones!

I personally will choose this brand when I'm baking or making some desserts at home. The buttery taste of the tarts were not too overwhelming and really brings out the fragrance of the overall finished product.
