Let me share with you why Canton Kitchen is one of the best places to enjoy a Cantonese breakfast in Kuala Lumpur. I will also highlight some of their top menu selections that you should not miss. Plus, I will reveal a special promotion that they are running for a limited time only. So keep reading to find out more!

Canton Kitchen is a family-run business that has been serving Cantonese cuisine for over 30 years. The owner, Mr. Tan, learned the art of making dim sum from his father, who was a chef in Guangxi, China. He uses fresh ingredients and traditional recipes to create mouth-watering delicacies that are steamed, fried, baked or braised.

Canton Kitchen has several outlets in Kuala Lumpur, but the one in Happy Garden is the original and the most popular one. The restaurant is spacious and cozy, with a nice touch of old antique display of the 60s to 80s. The service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable.

Canton Kitchen’s dim sum menu is available daily from 10:30am to 10:30pm. You can choose from over 50 different types of dim sum dishes, ranging from classic favorites to innovative creations. Some of the top menu selections that you should not miss are:

First up, the Chicken Claw. This dish may seem intimidating to some, but it's a must-try for dim sum lovers. The chicken claws are stewed until tender and packed with flavor. The dish is served with a soy-based sauce that complements the chicken perfectly.

Next, we tried the Meat Ball Porridge. This dish is perfect for a cold morning. A hearty and comforting bowl of rice porridge with tender and juicy meat balls. The porridge is smooth and creamy, while the meat balls are seasoned with ginger, spring onion and salt. A perfect way to start your day.

For something a bit spicy, we tried the Fish Head with Chopped Chili. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, and the chili added a nice kick to the dish. It's definitely not for the faint-hearted, but if you love spicy food, this dish is a must-try.

3 Treasures is a trio set of classic stuffed items which are fried til crispy before craised in their unique teriyaki sauce to enhance the entire taste. This itself for me can be a good meal paired with some rice.

The Osmanthus Honey Tomato was a refreshing addition to the meal. A refreshing and healthy dish that consists of cherry tomatoes soaked in osmanthus honey syrup. The tomatoes are plump and juicy, bursting with sweetness and floral fragrance. The osmanthus honey syrup adds a layer of complexity and elegance to the simple dish.

Finally, we tried the Gold Sand Custard Cake. This dessert was a sweet finish to the meal. The custard was creamy and smooth, and the golden crumbly topping added a nice texture to the dish. The cake is soft and moist, while the custard filling is smooth and creamy.

Canton Kitchen is not only a place for dim sum lovers, but also for anyone who loves Cantonese food. You can also order from their ala carte menu, which offers dishes such as fish, chicken, pork, seafood, tofu, egg, vegetables, soup, and more. Some of their signature dishes include braised pork belly with preserved vegetables, claypot chicken with salted fish and tofu, steamed fish head with ginger and spring onions, stir-fried prawns with salted egg yolk, fried rice with waxed meat and egg white, and more.
