Tasty Healthy Poke Bowl @ Paperfish TTDI

Hi my dear merry goers!

Sorry it's been like quite a while since I last updated my poor abandoned site but I promise I will try to update it more frequently. For those of you who miss me, do follow me on my Instagram which I'm much more active on.

Recently, I've been a bit obsessed with eating healthy and have been hitting the gym nearly every day so finding tasty and healthy food spots around town has been on my list :) Thanks to Zomato, I found Paperfish located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail serving Poké.

Poke /pˈk/ is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine, and sometimes as an entree. Poke is the Hawaiian verb for "section" or "to slice or cut".

Technically Poké Bowls is a dish where you can choose to have a grain/rice base and top it with some toppings like edamame, corn, wakame and lastly your choice of poké! I'm telling you that Poké is by far on the top of my healthy must eat food because not only it's healthy but it is so good and filling too.

During the Zomato meetup, we were able to try out the selection of Poké they have in store before ordering our very own to enjoy. At Paperfish, they have several customized menu selections where they have mixed and matched their Poké with the base and toppings plus sauce to deliver the best Poké experience. Some of their Poké protein selections include: Umami Shoyu, Citrus, Heatwave (Spicy Salmon), Cili Tuna, Sea-salt Shrimp, Mango Salsa Shrimp, Tropical Tuna and Shrimp Ceviche.

I can just eat their Poké on its own because they were fresh, well marinated and so easy on the palate. For those of you who love the spicy kick, get their Heatwave because pow! The kick from the Spicy Salmon marinate just hits you like a heatwave but it is so good. You can actually choose to Build-Your-Own-Bowl (BYOB) or choose from their pre-planned recipe choices. Not only that there are some superfood add ons you can choose from like chia seeds, flaxseed, almond, chickpeas etc.

After tasting all their Poké selections I chose the Heatwave because I just need my spicy kick! The Heatwave comes with greens, edamame, corns and cherry tomatoes but I love Paperfish because they give me an option of quinoa! Other places offer white rice or brown rice but when there is quinoa of course I will go for it.

For those of you who are looking for a healthier yet tasty alternative to your daily meals, make sure to stop by Paperfish @ TTDI and I'm sure you'll just fall in love with the taste of it.

Til next time,

xoxo
