Lenovo A7000, World's First Dolby Atmos Smartphone

Until today, most of my posts have been about beauty reviews, events and tons of food but here's the start of this site going into gadgets! Thanks to a dear friend for bringing me along to the launch of Lenovo A7000 which was held last week at GSC, One Utama. Weird that it was held in a cinema? Well it was for a very good reason!


Lenovo is now the pioneer to the world's first Dolby Atmos smartphone with their latest launch of Lenovo A7000. If you're not familiar with the Dolby Atmos audio technology, GSC Cinemas has recently incorporated this technology in their cinema halls to give their patrons an amazing audio and viewing experience. Previously pioneered and perfected in cinemas, the Dolby Atmos technology has generated tremendous excitement in home theaters. We were given a chance to experience the Dolby Atmos audio at GSC Cinemas and were told to expect this amazing audio technology in their latest Lenovo A7000. Now, phone users can enjoy the rich, immersive sound experience when playing music, videos, games and even video chats when using the Lenovo A7000.


Present on that day was also Christian Nill, the Chief Commercial Officer at Lazada Malaysia because Lazada will be partnering with Lazada Malaysia to launch and exclusively retail the Lenovo A7000 Smartphone as part of a regional initiative. The Lenovo A7000 features a brilliant 5.5-in HD Display with ultra-wide viewing angles and moving audio technology from Dolby. In addition to the audio and visual technology, this multimedia smartphone is packed with several desired features. Running on Android 5.0 on a MediaTek True8Core™ processor with 4G LTE, the Lenovo A7000 handles voice and data quickly with its dual SIM card slot which means you can have two telephone numbers or a separate data plan, along with dual cameras. 


The A7000 also features a 5MP selfie camera with interesting camera effects and a 8MP primary camera with dual-tone flash which automatically helps brighten your skin and have a beautifying effect. This is definitely a plus point to selfie lovers out there. 


At only 7.9mm thin and 140 grams light, the Lenovo A7000 is an easy fit in a bag and pocket and comes in two colours: Onyx Black or Pearl White. Although slim, the A7000 comes with a large battery so that you can stay connected longer, watch more videos on a single charge and not worry that you'll run out of battery when you are out and about. 


The 2900mAh battery claims to be able to last all-day with 12 days standby time and 39 hours talk time and with OTG support, you can connect USB drives for data transfer as well. You are also able to use the A7000 as a power bank to charge other phones from it. 


Also you will be able to hear the Dolby Atmos difference using headphones: sounds of people, places, things and music become more vivid and move from all directions, including overhead with astonishing clarity, richness and depth. Voices and noises have a broader range from highs to lows and makes playback volume more consistent across all types of content. Do take note that the quality of the headphones you use will influence the Dolby Atmos experience as well. To those who love using their phones as an entertainment portal, you will definitely enjoy this feature in the Lenovo A7000.
